Refund Policy
Policy #240 Refunds.pdfREGISTER FOR KIDS CAMP HERE!
Thanks for checking out our Parks & Rec Kid's Camp Page. Here are the answers to some of the questions we get asked the most:
- My child needs to drop out of camp and I would like a refund. What are your refund policies?
A $5 cancellation fee applies to all cancellation requests.
Full refund (minus the $5 fee):
For cancellations made 7 or more days before the camp start date.
50% refund (minus the $5 fee):
For cancellations made between 72 hours and 7 days before the camp start date.
No refunds or credits:
For cancellations made less than 72 hours before the camp begins
- How early can I drop my child off for Kids Camp?
Campers are allowed to check-in at 10:45am. You are responsible for your child before that time and your child will not be supervised if you choose to drop them off before the designated drop off time.
- How late can I pick my child up after Kids Camp ends for the day?
Campers can be picked up between 2:30 and 2:45 PM. To help our staff wrap up the day smoothly, please make sure to arrive by 2:45 PM. If a camper is picked up after 2:45 PM, a $15 late fee will apply. Continued late pickups may affect your child’s ability to attend future camp sessions.
- The week I wanted for Kids Camp is full, so I joined the waitlist. How and when will I know if my child gets a spot for the session I am on the waitlist for?
An email is sent to the entire waitlist, 3-5 days in advance of the start of the waitlist week. The email will identify which week and age group is available, and where to register for the open spots. The spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If the spots fill before you are able to register, you will have to rejoin the waitlist. The chances of obtaining a spot in camp after the emailed spots are filled is low.
- My child can't attend and I want to drop their spot. Can I transfer their spot to another family member or friend?
If your child decides not to attend the week they are registered for, the spot is opened up to the waitlist and filled on a first-come, first served basis. We do not do direct transfers. Please be sure you understand the refund policy when choosing to request a registration cancellation.
- Why did the activities for the day change from what was advertised on the calendar?
There are a few reasons activities might shift from what’s listed on the calendar. The most common ones are changes in the weather and how campers are engaging with the activity.
Our staff works hard to make sure every activity is fun and engaging, and sometimes that means making a change on the fly to better match the campers’ energy and interests. Our goal is always to create the best possible experience for all campers — even if that means mixing things up a bit!
