When we moved to Cottonwood Heights 20 years ago, the first thing I did after turning on our utilities was to join the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center; it quickly became one of the places that made this feel like home. The Rec Center has been a wonderful place to raise our family. It is where my kids learned to swim, played soccer, took dance classes, and made lifelong friends. From teaching and training to volunteering with the Foundation, it has been an important part of my life for years. As a Trustee, I look forward to supporting community events, upgrading our facility, and making sure our parks are well maintained. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve, and grateful for the support of my husband, Sterling, and our wonderful kids, Stephen and Savannah; we’re thankful for how the Rec Center has shaped our lives, and we’re excited to give back now.
