King of the Court Recreation Level Pickleball Tournament

All players must bring a partner. Partners will register to a team in registration.
Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place.
What is the score to win a match?
Scoring is play to 11 win by 2.
How many games will be played?
A total of five games per division will be played, with a 15-minute time limit on each games. If teams are tied or not ahead by two points at 15 minutes, the next team to score wins.
Is this event DUPR reported or sanctioned?
This event is not sanctioned or DUPR reported. CHPR aims to provide fun, recreation-level tournaments to involve the whole community.
What if i registered and can't play?
Refunds are available until 72 hours before the tournament, though any processing fees will not be refunded. After 72 hours, no refunds are available unless the event is cancelled due to weather.
Are there awards?
Awards will be available for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. There may be some silly awards too ;)
Are shirts availabe?
To keep this event affordable and because of quick turnaround, shirts will not be available for purchase.
Can I sub in a partner?
Subs are not allowed. You must play all games with the same partner. If your partner is injured or cannot continue, you will forfeit the remaining games.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the weather is inclement, the event will be cancelled and refunds will be provided to all players impacted.
Participants in this tournament are expected to treat all players, staff, and volunteers with the utmost respect, kindness, and integrity both on and off the courts. Please honor the spirit of fair play by making honest line calls, maintaining emotional self-control, and accepting match outcomes with grace. Verbal abuse, aggressive outbursts, and disrespectful behavior toward tournament staff or fellow competitors will not be tolerated and may result in immediate disqualification. Ultimately, our goal is to maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for the entire pickleball community.
